There may be some good news for kids complaining that their school lunches are unappetizing and leave them hungry. The Vermilion Parish School Board has heard their complaints loud and clear. Starting last week, the school system has begun spicing up the menu.

Jeffery Freeman was on trial this past week in Abbeville for aggravated rape of a juvenile charge, but a jury came back with a guilty verdict on the charge of indecent behavior with a juvenile, which carries a 2 to 25 year prison sentence. Had he been convicted of aggravated rape, it carried a life sentence.
