No one was injured Friday morning when a vehicle drove into the door of the Department of Motor Vehicles in Abbeville. An elderly lady, driving a Mercury Marquis, drove up to the front entrance and instead of stopping, went forward through the front door. Her car came to a stop in the lobby.
In an effort to combat impaired driving in our area, Louisiana State Police Troop I plans to conduct a DWI “No Refusal” checkpoint on Friday, April 24, 2015, from approximately 9:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. at an undisclosed location in Vermilion Parish.

Abbeville's Koryn reaches Top 10

LEROY- The North Vermilion Lady Patriots advanced to the second round of the Class 3A softball playoffs after a 6-2 win at home against Church Point Tuesday.


The grounds are a certified wildlife habitat by the National Wildlife Federation with an advanced bird habitat certification.
