VERMILION PARISH — On Wednesday, Aug. 24, shortly before 4 p.m., troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop I responded to a two vehicle fatality crash on La. Hwy. 82 near Horseshoe Road in Vermilion Parish. The crash claimed the life of 21-year-old Justin Minnick of Abbeville.

BATON ROUGE – Heavy rains that recently caused historic flooding in south Louisiana will cost the state’s agriculture industry at least $110 million, according to preliminary estimates from the LSU AgCenter.
WASHINGTON – The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced Monday that due to the damage and displacement caused by recent flooding, the grace period to renew flood insurance policies has been extended to 120 days, for certain parishes in Louisiana, including Vermilion Parish.

The three suspects load the mower on a trailer attached to a single-cab Chevrolet at Stine in Abbeville. Anyone with information on this case is asked to contact the Abbeville Police Department at 893-2511.
