EUNICE- The Eagles won their seventh straight game, and spoiled the Eunice Bobcats homecoming in the process. VC was able to squeak by Eunice 22-20 in a game that was up for grabs all the way until the end.

Car hits Cintas truck from behind between Abbeville, Maurice on La. 167

Abbeville firemen clean La. 167 after the accident. The front end of the compact car was damaged and the driver was taken to a hospital.

Traffic on La. 167, between Abbeville and Maurice, was backed up because of a two-vehicle accident Thursday morning at around 11 o'clock.

New Nature Trail in Vermilion Parish

The cement columns were found in the wetlands behind the Grotto and are from the late 1800s. They were part of a rectory that was on the grounds in the late 1890s.

Seven years ago a group of Vermilion Parish residents had a vision to create a nature trail through an acre of wetlands along the Vermilion River at Bancker Grotto Memorial Park.
