On November 25, 2014, at approximately 8:55 p.m., Officers with Abbeville Police Department responded to Valero Corner Store (W. Summers Dr.) in reference to an armed robbery. Officers arrived on scene in less than two minutes and learned the suspect had fled the scene on foot. Investigators were called to the scene.

A high-speed chase through Abbeville on Tuesday ended when a black Dodge Charger ran off the road and struck a culvert on Mike Street, near the Winn-Dixie parking lot, Abbeville Police said.

GUEYDAN - Kaitlin Elizabeth Venissat was what some considered the perfect child. Her mother Rhonda Leger Venissat would agree. “She is the perfect kid,” said Rhonda on Sunday night. “I loved her personality, because she could laugh at herself. That meant a lot to me.”
