Gueydan High School Senior Tanner Venissat recently preformed at the end of the year GHS Band Concert held in the GHS Auditorium. During the event Tanner was presented with an award that was in appreciation for his contributions to the GHS Band for the 2011-2012 school year.

Ria Laseter recently completed The Avon Walk For The Cure Sunday, April 21 and 22 in Houston. Participants are required to raise a minimum of $1,800 and walk a total of 39.2 miles over the two days. This is Laseter second year to complete the walk.
