HEROD–Herod Elementary recently held a school wide Young Author’s Contest. The HES School level winners are First Grade Poetry “Butterflies” Taija Trahan; Second Grade Poetry “Apples” Jameni Riley; Second Grade Fiction “My Apple Tree” Stefan Briggs; Fourth Grade Non-Fiction “My Greatest Wishes” Keyvina Powel; Fifth Grade Poetry “Silly Bands” Angel Richardson (not pictured); Fifth Grade Fiction “Louisiana’s Zoc Zoo Zec” Jaquala Hebert. The student work was sent to the parish-level contest in December.

EMS–The Student Council Officers from Erath Middle School recently visited the pre-k students at Dozier Elementary to read to the students in Ms. Angie’s class and Ms. Ashley’s class.
