State Police information officer

NEW IBERIA – Services for former State Police information officer Edmund Comeaux, Jr. will be Saturday. He died at age 63.

He was a former Iberia Parish deputy sheriff and retired as State Police Public Information Officer. He also served as Iberia Civil Defense Coordinator.

Survivors include a son and two daughters.

Arrangements are by David.

Long-time editor

SHREVEPORT – Services for former Shreveport Times News Editor Danny Grant will be Thursday. He died March 3 at age 84.

During his career at the Times he also served as copy editor and wire editor.

Survivors include two step-children.

Arrangements are by Rose-Neath.

Distinguished ag agent

ARCADIA – Services for retired County Ageny Elliot Letlow, Sr. will be Thursday. He died March 3 at age 87.

He was a US Navy veteran of World War II. He was assistant county agent and county agent in Bienville Parish for more than 30 years. He was also area horticultural agent for three parishes. He also owned the 500-tree Back Fort Peaches orchard. He was a member of the state 4-H Hall of Fame.

Survivors include a son and a daughter.
