Vermilion Parish voters will decide on Nov. 6 who will replace retired Vermilion Parish School Board member Bill Searle.

Recently, the school board approved the election date in a special board meeting.

Searle, a retired farmer from Gueydan, served on the board for 15 years and served District A in the Gueydan area.

Qualifying for the Nov. 6 race is Aug. 15-17.

Until the election, G.L. Gardiner has been appointed as Searle’s replacement.
