Christina “Chrissy” LeMaire and Lauren Esther Holtzman were legally wed on the evening of June 6th in the District of Columbia. Reverend Deborah Altomonte officiated the ceremony.

Christina, a native of Kaplan, is the daughter of Ruby Buchanan and Benny LeMaire. She graduated from the University of San Francisco with a B.S. in Information Systems and currently works as a federal contractor in Washington, DC at General Dynamics Information Technology.

Lauren spent her formative years in the DC area, moving to Pittsburgh and Portland to attend and graduate from the University of Pittsburgh with a B.S. in Psychology and Lewis and Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon with a J.D. She is an attorney who currently works at a tech firm in Northern Virginia.

Chrissy and Lauren chose to have a small, nontraditional ceremony, peppered with touches to reflect their personalities and lifestyle. Their wedding venue was a boutique hotel with a classic Southern porch and they walked together, hand-in-hand, down the aisle.

Lauren eschewed the traditional dress and opted instead for a vintage white sheath dress, topped off with four-inch platform heels, and a bouquet assembled by her sister.

Chrissy wore a simple white jacket, black converse with pink shoelaces, and a shirt featuring a romantic math equation.

As the couple is soon relocating to Belgium for Chrissy’s new job at NATO, they plan to celebrate an indefinite honeymoon in Europe, exploring new cuisines and attempting fluency in French.
