With 677 total yards in 81 runs for just three games, Trevor Derouen tops the state rankings of rushers for LHSAA football. Not to be outdone, Jacoby Davis, fresh off a record-breaking week, comes in at fourth place with 666 in 50 runs.

The duo are the leading runners in Vermilion Parish and are topping the charts statewide. They also hold the third and fourth place spot for single-game rushing.

Davis broke a Vermilion Catholic single-game school record when he ran 22 times for 314 yards last Friday against Erath. Derouen had 36 runs for 300 yards when the Gueydan Bears went up against Sophie B. Wright the week before.

The pair are the highlights of their teams, and they will actually clash later this season.
