Rep. Bob Hensgens of Abbeville received the Governmental Affairs award at The Southwest Chamber of Louisiana’s 7th annual Legis-Gator luncheon. Rep. Hensgens received this award for being the Southwest Louisiana delegation member having the highest voting record with the Chamber SWLA’s agenda.

Upon receiving the award, Representative Hensgens said, “It is an honor and a privilege to receive the Governmental Affairs award. I stand by the work done by the SWLA foundation, and I am happy to hear that we agree on so many important issues.”

The Southwest Chamber of Louisiana presented this award and many others to State and Federal legislators for their pro-business, pro-Southwest Louisiana legistation. Elected officials from all of Louisiana and Washington, D.C. were invited to the Legis-Gator Luncheon held at the L’Auberge Casino in Lake Charles.

Hensgens represents the Abbeville, North Vermilion, Kaplan area in the parish, along with all of Cameron Parish.
