Interment will be in St. John Berchmans Mausoleum in Cankton. Pastor Caleb Moran of Metro Life Church in Lafayette will officiate at the services.
Mr. Harrell was a native of Hayes, Louisiana and a resident of Cankton since 2007. He was a Directional Drilling Supervisor for Weatherford, Inc. since 2004 and had previously worked for other various drilling companies for 37 years, including Schlumberger, Baker Hughes, Pathfinder, Ryan's, D.E.T., COBB and Drillex. He was a member of Metro Life Church in Lafayette.
Survivors include his wife of 16 years, Gloria Thibeaux Harrell of Cankton; mother, Nell Jean Bertrand Harrell of Hayes, three sons, Brandon Harrell of Iowa, Cori Duhon and his wife, Melissa, of Cankton, and René Duhon and his wife, André, of Abbeville; one daughter, Krystal Harrell Hardy of Iowa; eight grandchildren, Allison Duhon, Wyatt Harrell, McKenzie Duhon, Logan Duhon, Zackery Hardy, Haleigh Hardy, Lane Duhon and Aiden A. Duhon; and three brothers, Arnold Harrell, Craig Harrell and Clayton Harrell, all of Hayes.
He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Harrell; and his paternal and maternal grandparents.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Saturday and will continue from 8:00 a.m. until service time on Sunday.
A special eulogy was held Saturday night at 7:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Harrell, Cori Duhon, René Duhon, Arnold Harrell, Ricky Boyle and Eric Breaux. Honorary pallbearers will be his eight grandchildren.
