Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at a 1 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anne Catholic Church honoring the life of Hazel Gaspard Touchet, 75, who died Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Iberia Medical Center. She will be laid to rest at St. Anne Cemetery with Reverend Keith Landry officiating the services.
She is survived by her son, James Dale Touchet and his wife, Stephanie of New Iberia; her daughter, Melissa Touchet Armentor and her husband, William Armentor of New Iberia; three grandchildren, Taylor Touchet, Andrew Touchet, and Ali Armentor; one great grandchild, Trystin Touchet; and six sisters, Lucy G. Sagrera of Esther, Melba G. Gaspard of Forked Island, Verlan H. LeMaire of Kaplan, Rita G. LeMaire of Rayne, Priscilla G. Cormier of Forked Island, and Nell G. Suire of Forked Island.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oreal Touchet; her parents, Phillip Gaspard and the former Evelyn Bodin; one sister, Audrey Mae Gaspard; and two brothers, Flemon and Jimmy Gaspard.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Monday, March 4, 2013 from 12 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Tuesday, March 5, from 8 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
