Ada Jeanne Simon and Shawn Joseph LeDoux exchanged wedding vows on December 19, 2009, at the United Methodist Church in Abbeville at two o’clock in the afternoon.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Simon of Erath. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roger Simon of Erath and Mr. Roy E. Young, Sr. and Mrs. Dolores Young of Abbeville.

The bride is a graduate of Erath High School and the University of Louisiana at Monroe where she received a Bachelor of Science in Toxicology. She received her masters from the University of Florida (Gainsville) in Forensic Toxicology. She is employed by the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality in Shreveport as an Environmental Scientist.

Maid of Honor was Rebecca Simon, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Katie Potier, Jessica Baudoin and Kristen LeBlanc.

The Groom is the son of Mr. Dexter LeDoux and Mrs. Mary LeDoux of Lafayette. He is the grandson of the late Reginald LeDoux and Jeanne LeDoux of Iota and the late Dalton Lormand and Claudia Lormand of Lafayette.

Shawn is a graduate of Assembly Christian School of Lafayette and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He is currently a second year medical student at LSU Health Science Center in Shreveport.

Best man was Jay LeBlanc. Groomsmen were Brady Drapekin, Marty Roy and Jordan LeDoux, brother of the groom.

A reception honoring the couple immediately followed the ceremony at Magdalen Place in Abbeville.

The couple will reside in Shreveport, LA.
