DELCAMBRE - The North Vermilion Lady Patriots reached the finals of a tournament for the third time this season.

The Lady Patriots are in the championship game of the Lynette Viator Memorial tournament at Delcambre Friday at 6:45 p.m.. The Lady Pats (8-1) punched a ticket to the finals with a 59-46 win over the Erath Lady Bobcats Wednesday night.

North Vermilion’s Courtney Chargois paced all scorers with 19 points. Morgan Breaux scored 11 points while Shyla Plowden contributed 10. Macy Gautreaux and Brooke Romero chipped in with eight and seven points, respectively.

Shay Thompson led the Lady Bobcats, who fell to 5-3 overall, with 16 points. Kasey Landry followed with 14 points for Erath.

The Lady Patriots will face the winner of last night’s semifinal between the Gueydan Honey Bears and Rayne. The Lady Bobcats faced Delcambre in the consolation bracket last night.

DELCAMBRE - Whitney Woods scored 12 points and Raven Maxile added 10 as the Gueydan Honey Bears advanced in the Lynette Viator Memorial tournament.

Hillary Lounsberry scored seven points for the Honey Bears, who faced Rayne in last night’s semifinal. Rayne defeated Delcambre 34-24 to advance.
