Phyllis B. Thibeaux

KAPLAN — Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 9, 2022, at 6:00 pm at Cypress Funeral Home in Maurice, LA for Phyllis B. Thibeaux, age 64, who passed away peacefully at University Medical Center on Sunday, September 4, 2022, in New Orleans, LA.
Deacon Keith Duhon of Milton will officiate.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 9, 2022, from 2:00 pm until the time of service at Cypress Funeral Home in Maurice.
A Rosary will be recited on Friday, September 9, 2022, at 4:00 pm until 4:30 pm at Cypress Funeral Home in Maurice.
Phyllis B. Thibeaux was born on August 14, 1958, in Lafayette, LA and she was a lifelong resident of Acadiana. She loved Cajun food, culture, and dancing. Phyllis also enjoyed listening to music, especially Elvis Presley and Sammy Kershaw. She will be remembered as “Granny” by her family. Phyllis was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She will be dearly missed.
Phyllis is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Ricky James Thibeaux, Sr.; her three children, Joseph Keiffer Thibeaux (Terra) of Meaux, LA, Ashley Adam Thibeaux (Amanda) of Lafayette, LA, and Ricky James Thibeaux, Jr. of Kaplan, LA; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; along with a host of dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph K. and Venola Hebert Boudreaux; her paternal and maternal grandparents; as well as her beloved cat of 14 years, “Missy-Boo”.
