Vermilion Chamber sends letter to School Board members
Dear School Board Members:
Dear School Board Members:
July 30, 2020
To the Congressmen and Senators of Louisiana,
It has been said that marriage is a deal in which a man gives away half of his groceries to get the other half cooked. I am sure this is true, but few people are fortunate enough to marry a woman like my wife Janis, who has written four cookbooks, and man can she cook! On a side bar, they say a man who does not marry is incomplete, but when he does marry he is finished. Well, so much for that. Today I want to share something I believe you will find very interesting, especially if you like to eat.
Strengthening access to broadband services in rural America is a priority for the wellbeing of our nation – it will ensure that everyone has the ability to engage with the world in a meaningful way. Despite the extensive progress that we have made over the past two decades to expand internet coverage, roughly 18 million Americans still do not have access to broadband at home. For too long our networks have left some of our fellow citizens out, and its time that we get to work to fix this gap.
