The Moutons have been involved with the Fourth of July Association for 31 years. This is their final year associated with the celebration. On Sunday they will be honored as the Grand Marshals of the parade.

Moutons are Grand Marshals of 4th of July parade in Erath

ERATH - Dennis and Natalie Mouton, long-time members of the Erath Fourth of July Association, have been selected to serve as grand marshals of this year’s Erath Fourth of July Parade.
The parade will take place Sunday at 5 p.m. through Erath. The fire works show will be at 9 p.m. on Sunday.
The Moutons are true assets to the Erath Fourth of July Association.
The Moutons have been members of the Fourth of July Association for 31 years.
Dennis and Natalie have been volunteering as pageant directors for the past 16 years, spending countless hours behind the scenes setting up and decorating the hall with festive red, white, and blue backgrounds.
They work one-on-one with each contestant, preparing them for the pageant.
Dennis and Natalie can be seen escorting the Fourth of July queens throughout the five-day festival.
The couple watches over all our queens year-round, especially when they travel to other Louisiana festivals promoting the Erath Fourth of July Festival.
Dennis and Natalie have said that serving as pageant directors is a “Very labor intense but rewarding job.”
They have made “Everlasting friendships with all of our queens and their families.”
Dennis also served as vice president of the festival for 17 years. In addition, he was chairman of the beer booth for four years, one of the festival’s most profitable fund raisers. It allows the association to donate money into our community and the Erath schools.
Dennis was a volunteer firefighter for the Erath Fire Department for 17 years.
