Taylor named Abbeville's Rotarian of the Year
On Wednesday, the Abbeville Rotary Club held their installation banquet where they recognized the 2020-2021 Rotarian of the Year.
That award went to 88-year-old Ken Taylor from Abbeville.
Outgoing Rotary President Chris Duhon presented the award to Taylor at the banquet.
“I did not see it coming,” Taylor told the Rotarians.
Duhon explained why Taylor deserved the award.
“Ken is a perfect example of ‘Service Above Self’ in each action he makes, says or does!,” said Duhon. “Constant to encouraging others to do, and be the best than can be with each encounter. At 88 years young and such an active Rotarian over the years and especially this year...he is well worthy of representing our club as Rotarian of the Year.”
The incoming president is Annette Mudd.
