
North Vermilion Patriots sweep Washington Marion
LEROY - The North Vermilion Patriots’ two pitchers didn’t allow a single hit, as the NV Patriots defeated Washington Marion 11-0 on Tuesday in the first game of a double header.
The Patriots secured the victory thanks to six runs in the first inning. Lane Patin, Tyson Leblanc, John Touchet, Dylan Naquin, and Camden Breaux all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
After two innings, the score was 9-0.
The Patriots got on the board in the first inning. Patriots scored one run when Patin singled.
Camden Breaux pitched the Patriots to victory. The righty lasted three innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out eight. Ethan Frederick threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.
The Patriots tallied 12 hits in the game.
Breaux led the way with three hits and three stolen bases. He also had a double in the three hits.
Patin and Tyson LeBlanc each had two hits.

In the second game of a double header, North Vermilion cruised to a 11-0 win over Washington Marion.
The Patriots had a 7-0 lead after two innings.
In the first inning, the Patriots got their offense started when Tyson Leblanc singled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.
Aiden Leonard was the winning pitcher for the Patriots. The right-hander surrendered zero runs on one hit over three innings, striking out eight and walking zero. Blake Knowles threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.
The Patriots launched two home runs on the day. Dale Martin had a four bagger in the third inning. John Touchet went for the long ball in the first inning.
Leblanc led the Patriots with two hits in two at bats.
Other Patriots with hits were Camden Breaux, Martin, John Touchet and Jordan Blanchard.
