Beverly Ann Ruth LaCour Landry
July 24, 1937 ~ June 11, 2026
ABBEVILLE — It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, Beverly Ann Ruth LaCour Landry, who left us peacefully on June 11, 2026, at the age of 88. Born on July 24, 1937, in Esther, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday June 13, 2026 at 11 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church in Esther, LA with Reverend Daniel Picard officiating. Lectors for the Mass will be Angelle Broussard and Kellie Bankston. The gift bearers will be Jill Broussard, Laurie Jackson, Gina Domingue, Molly Wilburn, Jennifer Pettini and Hannah Jaussi.
Visitation was held at St. James Catholic Church 21125 LA Hwy 333 Abbeville, LA on June 13, 2026, from 9 a.m. until time of services. A rosary was prayed at 10 a.m. by Ed and Louise Broussard and Nancy Clapp. Beverly was laid to rest at St. Paul Mausoleum beside her husband James “Jim” Dale Landry. Pallbearers will be Seth Landry, Blake Landry, Brennon Sagrera, Landry Bankston, Corey Lege and Darius Girouard.
Beverly owned her own beauty shop in the 1960’s. She had a passion for cooking, baking, attending neighborhood coffee parties, and loved to decorate her home for the holidays.
She was a loving grandmother to her 24 grandchildren and was very dedicated to her Catholic faith.
She is survived by her daughters, Marcia Landry Dischler and Johnette Landry, her son, Dale Landry (Michelle), and her sister, Dot LaCour Driggers. Beverly is also survived by her grandchildren, Kellie Bankston, Jill Broussard, Laurie Jackson, Gina Domingue, Angelle Broussard, Brittnie Davis, Taylor Davis, Molly Wilburn, Jennifer Pettini, Seth Landry, Hannah Jaussi and Blake Landry along with 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Beverly is now reunited in spirit with her beloved husband, of 62 years James “Jim” Dale Landry; her parents, Dedier LaCour and Celeste Cessac LaCour; and her siblings, Ray LaCour (Jean), Francis LaCour (Shirley), Betty LaCour Mouton (Marc), her godchildren, Michael Mouton and Patsy Randall.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to Vermilion Catholic, A Legacy of Mount Carmel, 425 Park Avenue Abbeville, LA 70510.
