Charles or “Bubba” as he was known to many, loved raising cattle and did this for many years on his farm in Henry. In 2005, Hurricane Katrina destroyed most of his herd. He started working at Union Oil on White Lake. Later he started his own business acquiring right-of-way acquisitions for the phone company. He then opened a feed store in Abbeville and at that point became a feed salesman for Bluebonnet and Manna Pro. After retiring from this he finished his working career as an appliance salesman at Top’s Appliances in Lafayette.
