Gracie Godwin LeBlanc

Gracie Godwin LeBlanc, 79, a native of Jonesville, LA and long-time resident of Abbeville, LA, died Wednesday, June 30, 2021.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude C. and Cora E. Godwin; her sisters Claudine G. Coon, Louise G. Burnette, Rosa G. Simmons; her brother William (Bud) Godwin.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Gene J. LeBlanc; her sons Darryl A. LeBlanc (Monique), and Patrick K. LeBlanc (Dawn); her grandsons Sam C. LeBlanc (Sayaka Matsuoka), Jacob A. LeBlanc (Robin Goldman) and Collin P. LeBlanc; her granddaughter Anna C. LeBlanc; her sister Mary Bert Arnold (Sid) of Jonesville, LA.
Gracie earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Northwestern State University and taught 4th grade early in her career. She was active in the Vermilion Volunteers for Family and Community. Gracie was an accomplished seamstress who loved to sew and cross stitch. She cherished her rose beds and loved her Ke-No group.
