ABBEVILLE — Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of Jimmie Dale Choate, 84, who passed away Friday, July 7, 2023 at Pelican Pointe Healthcare and Rehabilitation.
He will be laid to rest at Bancker Cemetery with Deacon William Vincent officiating the services. Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Corey M. Choate, Brady E. Choate, Marlon W. Choate, Rudy Stelly, Brannon Trahan and Corey M. Choate, Jr.
Jimmie is survived by his three sons, Corey M. Choate, Brady E. Choate (Jennifer) and Marlon W. Choate (Pamela); six grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-six years, Maudrey Mae Stelly Choate; father, Hiram Choate; mother, Mary Baudoin; daughter, Lisa Choate; two sisters, Faye Dore and Sharon Bernard; and half-brother, Gary Choate.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles St., on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 from 9 a.m. until time of services. A rosary will be prayed at 10:30 a.m.
