The Reverend Nicholas DuPre’ was the celebrant for the nuptial Mass.

The grandparents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Comeaux of New Iberia, LA and Mrs. Una Broussard of Abbeville, LA and the late Mr. Whitney Broussard, Sr.
The bride was escorted to the altar by her father, wearing an elegant gown by Allure Couture. The gown was made of alternating French floral lace embroidery and bands of intricate beading, which covered this sculpted Charmeuse satin gown. The neckline of the gown featured an off-the-shoulder design which was fully encrusted with Swarovski crystals, silver bugle beads and pearl bead work. The lace covered buttons adorned the back of the gown flowing to the edges of the long, scalloped train.
The finishing touch to her gown was a cathedral length veil with raw edges, which flowed from a bridal comb made of Swarovski crystals, pearls, and silver beads. Sentimental details incorporated by the bride on her wedding day were her maternal great-grandmother’s wedding band as something old; a gift of a pearl and diamond pendant from her parents as something new; her maternal grandmother’s rosary as something borrowed and her maternal great-aunt’s diamond and sapphire ring as something blue. A sixpence in her shoe was the same sixpence her mother wore on her wedding day, 28 years ago, on November 23, 1990.
The bride’s floral bouquet consisted of Mother of Pearl roses, Sandy roses, Brunia berries, seeded eucalyptus and Italian ruscus. The bouquet was wrapped with an ivory satin ribbon, which was monogrammed with the bride’s initials.
Maid of honor was Hannah LeBlanc, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Sydney Tomlinson, Kappa Delta sister; Patricia Jimenez, Kappa Delta sister and Anne-Marie Marceaux, friend of the bride.
The bridesmaids wore full length, dupioni gowns in black featuring a tailored, structured bodice that gave way to a gracefully flared trumpet skirt. The striking style was finished with a cutout back, a bow closure at the neckline, which was highlighted by an antique pewter crystal brooch. They carried similar versions of the bride’s bouquet and were composed of ivory roses, Quicksand roses, Brunia berries, seeded eucalyptus and Italian ruscus. Their bouquets were wrapped with pewter beaded ribbon and black satin ribbon, which included their monogrammed initials.
Aleigh Pourciau, cousin of the bride, served as the flower girl. Her gown was made of Charmeuse satin which was covered entirely by a three-dimensional floral embroidery tulle. The waistline of the gown featured a band of Swarovski crystals and pearl beading. She carried a hand-held bouquet of Sandy roses, Brunia berries, seeded eucalyptus and Italian ruscus, which was wrapped with an ivory ribbon with her initials. Aleigh is the daughter of Dacques and Neysa Pourciau, of Maurice, LA.
Best man was Chauncey Broussard, brother of the groom. Groomsmen included Auston Trahan, brother of the bride; Aaron Melebeck and Trey Patin, friends of the groom.
Nathan Broussard, godchild of the groom, served as the ring bearer. He is the son of Chauncey and Claire Broussard, of Abbeville, LA.
Ushers for the wedding were Connor Menard and Cauy Menard, cousins of the bride.
The mother of the bride was escorted by her son, Auston Trahan. She wore an off-the-shoulder evening gown in black, which showcased a straight, fitted silhouette. The asymmetrical tiered top and three tiered peplum was embellished with black, pewter and silver beading.
The mother of the groom was escorted by her husband, Jean Broussard. She wore an evening gown in silver. The dress featured a strapless sweetheart neckline with a sheer, long sleeve overlay which was adorned with crystal bead work.
Serving as the wedding music ensemble were Tommy Guidry, organist; Aneleise Hebert, vocalist and Ryan Hebert, guitarist.
The readings for the nuptial Mass were given by Andrea L. Menard, godmother of the bride and Cindy Comeaux, godmother of the groom. The offertory gifts were presented by Dirk Menard, godfather of the bride and David Comeaux, godfather of the groom.
Following the wedding nuptials, a reception was held at Black’s which was beautifully decorated with Sandy roses, Quicksand roses, Mother of Pearl roses, ivory hydrangeas, Bells of Ireland, larkspur, seeded eucalyptus and Italian ruscus. Boston ferns were hung throughout the venue.
The bridal cakes were displayed on the bride’s maternal great-grandmother’s antique Singer sewing machine table. The table was decorated with two silver and pewter crystal cake stands. The cakes consisted of two tiers each and were of different designs with the newlyweds’ initials atop the larger version. Flowers of Sandy roses, Quicksand roses, Mother of Pearl roses, ivory hydrangeas and seeded eucalyptus flowed from the drawers of the heirloom sewing machine.
The groom’s custom cake featured a grass air strip with a Super Cub model airplane placed upon the almond cake.
Upon their return, Mr. and Mrs. Logan Broussard will reside in Youngsville, LA.
A rehearsal dinner hosted by the groom’s parents, Karen and Jean Broussard, was held at Midway on the Square on the evening of Monday, November 19, 2018.
