Maurice looking at billboard ordinance

MAURICE — It’s hard to miss the new billboards that recently popped up on Hwy. 167 going into the Village of Maurice.
Drivers will soon see two new billboards going up within the village limits. With that in mind, the Village of Maurice Board of Aldermen is looking at steps to regulate future development of this means of advertising.
“We currently don’t have anything that restricts billboards,” Maurice Mayor Wayne Theriot said. “There will be two locations where billboards will be placed within the village.”
