Shirley All LeJeune
Gueydan: The family and friends of Shirley Ann LeJeune are mourning the loss of their loved one who was called from this life on February 28, 2018, at the age of 81. Shirley was born in Lake Arthur, LA to Johnny Herbert Schoultz and Daisy Guidry Schoultz on December 1, 1936. She worked in the school cafeteria for over 20years before retiring. Shirley loved the outdoors, she loved cutting grass, crabbing, barge shrimping, as well as fishing. She also loved cooking for her family, doing word search puzzles, dancing, watching McNeese Football, and taking care of her animals, as well as traveling to family gatherings. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Shirley is survived by her beloved husband, Preston John LeJeune of Gueydan, LA; her son, Preston R. LeJeune (Janet) of Gueydan, LA; her three daughters, Katherine L. Manceaux (Dr. Glenn) of Thibodeaux, LA, Sherry L. Woods (Charlie) of Sulphur, LA, Carrie L. Duhon (Jonathan) of Lake Arthur, LA; her two brothers, Howard Schoultz of Lake Arthur, LA, Preddie Schoultz of Baytown, TX; her two sisters, Jeannette Conner of Lockport, LA, Pauline Sonnier of Gueydan, LA; her seven grandchildren, Preston, Jr, Scott Anthony, Kacy, Kara, Mandi, Kyle, Rachelle; as well as twelve great-grandchildren.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Daisy Schoultz; her brothers, Gilbert “Curly” Schoultz, Willie Schoultz; her sisters, Mary Hines, Theresa LeJeune, Elizabeth Dubois, Patricia Vincent.
Funeral services for Shirley Ann LeJeune, 81 of Gueydan, LA will be held at First United Methodist Church in Gueydan, LA on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 10:00 AM with Reverend John Krause officiating. Burial will follow in the Gueydan Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Matthews & Son Funeral Home in Gueydan, LA on Friday, March 2nd from 10:00 AM until 9:00 PM and will resume on Saturday, March 3rd at 8:00 AM until the time of her funeral service.
