Ruby Mae Miller Trahan

Ms. Ruby Mae Miller Trahan, 86, passed away peacefully at 11:50 p.m. on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at
Eastridge Nursing Home.
Ms. Ruby retired from the Vermillion Parish School Board as a Cafeteria Manager after 26 years. She was an avid reader, exceptional cook, and loved serving her family at the many gatherings they had.

Shirley Reaux

ERATH — A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Shirley Reaux, 74, will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 1 p.m. with Fr. Sensat officiating. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum.
Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Erath on Saturday, August 17, 2024 from 9 a.m. until time of services with a recitation of the rosary at 11 a.m.

Paul Minos Broussard

Paul Minos Broussard, a lifelong resident of Meaux, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on Aug. 10, 2024, after several years of declining health. He was just shy of his 80th birthday. Most of his final year was spent in Mobile, Alabama under his son’s care.

A Liturgy of the Word will be held on Friday, August 16th, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Fountain Memorial Funeral Home in Lafayette, LA for Herman John Broussard, 89.5 years old, who passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at 10 p.m.
A Rosary will be recited by Judy Broussard on Friday, August 16th,2024 at 10:30 a.m.
Father Jay Alexis of Our Lady of the Lake Church, in Lake Arthur, LA, will officiate.
Herman Broussard was born January 28th, 1935, in Abbeville, LA and was a long-time resident of Lafayette. Herman graduated from Abbeville High School in 1953.

Russie Pierce-Tiller

Russie Pierce-Tiller Peacefully transitioned into the spirit realm on Monday 12 August 2024. Born on 21 November 1939, she was approaching her 85th birthday.
She is survived by her husband David Tiller who retired after 26 years as a superintendent from Mitchell Energy. They were both eagerly anticipating their 47th wedding anniversary only weeks away in September. They enjoyed living on the banks of the Vermilion river in Abbeville, on a property that Russie’s parents Nellie and Casey Pierce purchased when they moved from Intracoastal City in the 50s.
