Sister Judith Hebert, O. Carm., a Sister of Mount Carmel, died June 26, 2024 at Eastridge Nursing Home, Abbeville, LA. She was 93 years old and in the 75th year of her religious profession.
Betty Hanks Chauvin, 89, passed away Monday June 24, 2024, surrounded by family. Betty was born April 30, 1935, to Ezora Mae Schexnider and Wavel J. Hanks.
Betty grew up in the Crowley area. She earned her nursing LPN from Gulf Area Vocational Tech and worked as a nurse LPN for over 10 years. She enjoyed playing card games, bingo, and Pokeno with family and friends. She was an active member of a camping club, traveling the country alongside her loving husband. Betty loved to spend time with her family and friends.
