Rachel H. Primeaux Frederick

ERATH — A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Rachel H. Primeaux Frederick, 88, was held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church of Erath on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at 10 a.m. with Fr. Clinton Sensat officiating. Burial followed at Landry Cemetery of Henry.
Visitation was held at David Funeral Home of Erath on Monday, May 6, 2024 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. with a recitation of the rosary by Lisa Frederick at 7 p.m.. Visitation resumed on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 from 8 a.m. until time of services.
A native of Erath, Mrs. Rachel passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2024. She lived a rich life full of love and care for her family. Her passion for gardening and cooking brought so much joy and nourishment to those around her. She poured her heart into creating a warm and loving home for her husband, children, and all her grandchildren. Her legacy of love and nurturing will surely live on in the hearts of those she touched. May she rest in peace.
She is survived by her sons, Keith Frederick (Cora) of Erath, and Dwain Frederick (Cheryn) of Erath; her daughters, Rowena Norwood (Sammy) of Alabama, Yvette Frederick (Frankie) of Abbeville, and Rebecca Frederick (Heidi) of Erath; her grandchildren, Amy, Holly, McCall, Olivia, Karissa, Garrett, Brad, Collin, Nicolette, Evan, Peyton, Hillary, Ethan, Lacie, Blake, Kalyn, and Alaina; her twenty great- grandchildren; her siblings, Vivian Prejean, Earl Primeaux, and Joyce Trumps; and her daughter in-laws, Lisa Frederick, and Diane Frederick.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Angelas J. Frederick, Jr.; her parents, Loveless Primeaux and Edna Thibodeaux Primeaux; her sons, Ashley Wayne Frederick, and Horace D. Frederick; her grandchild, Cliff Norwood; and her siblings, Sheldon Primeaux, Larry Primeaux, and Glynn Primeaux.
Serving as pallbearers were Haydon Turner, Trandon Baudoin, Collin Frederick, Ethan Moore, Peyton Frederick, and Garrett Frederick.
Serving as honorary pallbearers were Brad Frederick, Evan Frederick, and Slade Ladnier.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Traditions Hospice staff.

Robert "Bobby" Broussard, Jr.

November 17, 1935 ~ May 6, 2024

ABBEVILLE — A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, May 10, 2024 at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church honoring the life of Robert "Bobby" Broussard, Jr., 88, who died Monday, May 6, 2024 at The Carpenter House of St. Joseph Hospice. He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Reverend Nicholas DuPre' officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Blake Cormier, Garrett Broussard, Ricky Cormier, Danny Cormier, Ron Broussard, and Wade Trahan.
He is survived by his son, Gerry Broussard and his wife, Cynthia of Katy, TX; daughter, Becky Cormier and her husband, Ricky of Abbeville; four grandchildren Blake Cormier, Kelly Cormier, Elizabeth Broussard, and Garrett Broussard; two great grandsons, Jacques Cormier and Beau Cormier; brother, Ronald "Ronnie" Broussard; and nephew, Ron Broussard.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel Courville Broussard; and parents, Robert Broussard, Sr. and the former Camelia Perry; and nephew, Craig Broussard.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles St., on Friday, May 10, 2024 from 9 a.m. until 2:45 p.m. when the procession will depart for the church. A rosary being prayed at 1 p.m.
The family would like to thank The Carpenter House, Jefferson Healthcare, Vermilion at Eastridge, Cedar Crest Memory Care, and other care givers. The Broussard family would also like to thank family and friends for all their support throughout this journey. He will be dearly missed.
