Tommie Pillette named grand marshal of Erath Homecoming Parade

ERATH — Erath educator Tommie Pillette (also known as Coach P. in the community) has been selected as the 2018 Erath High School Homecoming Grand Marshal.
Entering his 40th year as an educator and coach, he is a man you can count on to care about the students and the community. As a coach, he has taught and worked with a large number of students at Erath High who to this day, respect him tremendously and hold him in high esteem.

Link des Pink Cancer Organization has donated a total of 44 mammogram certificates valued at approximately $450 each to Abbeville General Hospital to use on those that are less fortunate or not financially unable.
This could not have been accomplished without special help from Ray Landry, Administrative Director of Abbeville General Hospital and James Schexnayder, Imaging Manager.
A maximum of 3 certificates is allowed per patient. These certificates can be used 3 ways:
1) For an initial digital mammogram & reading by interpreting physician

Kappa Zeta Sorority recently donated canned goods to Christian Service Center of Abbeville. This organization helps the needy in the surrounding area. Pillette attends medical internship in Mexico

TEAGUE, TX –Kaigen Pillette a Senior at Teague High School in Teague, TX attended the All Access Medical Internship in Monterrey, Mexico from July 13th to the 28th.
FutureDocs Abroad allows high-school students to access what only third and fourth-year medical students can in the United States. The purpose of this internship was to honor, inspire, motivate and direct the top students in the country who aspire to have careers in medicine, to stay true to their dream and, after the internship, to provide a path, plan, and resources to help them reach their goal.
