Abbeville's own Ethan Lege had a great two games for Ole Miss

Abbeville’s very own Ethan Lege had an impressive performance during the weekend series against the Mississippi State Bulldogs, as Ole Miss won two out of three games.
Lege, who graduated from VC, played a pivotal role in the team’s victories, especially in the last two games.
He recorded five hits, including three home runs, and five RBIs, helping the Rebels improve to 20-16 overall.
In the final game of the series, Lege made his mark by hitting a two-run bomb in the bottom of the first inning, giving Ole Miss an early lead.

Five Vermilion Parish baseball teams expected to make the playoffs

Five high school baseball teams are expected to make the LHAAA high school baseball playoffs.
The LHSAA will release the brackets on Tuesday, and five parish teams are in.
In Division II Non-Select. Erath (21-6), North Vermilion (17-11), and Kaplan (13-13) will make the playoffs.
In Division IV Non-Select, the Delcambre Panthers (9-15) will advance to the next round.
In Division IV Select, the Vermilion Catholic Eagles (16-7) will make the playoffs.

North Vermilion Lady Patriots primed for playoffs

LEROY – The North Vermilion Lady Patriots proved they are ready to make a serios playoff run by defeating the Kaplan Lady Pirates 3-1 in their regular season finale.
North Vermilion finished the regular season with a 22-6 record, including a nine-game winning streak to conclude the season.
In their final three regular season games, the Lady Pats defeated the seventh-ranked team in Division II Non-Select, the fourth-ranked team in Division II Select, and the defending Division III Non-Select state champions.
