Vermilion Parish School Board members debate hiring new legal counsel
Despite the Vermilion Parish Principal’s Association voting 90 percent in support of hiring an in-house attorney to replace retiring in-house attorney Calvin “Woody” Woodruff, four school board members objected to what the principals and school superintendent Jerome Puyau wanted.
Thursday night was Woodruff’s final school board meeting as legal counsel for the school board. At the end of the month, he is retiring.
