Miss Malani Claire Husband and Mr. Drake Sullivan Hoffpauir, both of Erath, were joined in Holy Matrimony during an evening ceremony held on Saturday, January 6, 2018, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Erath, Louisiana.
Father Bill Melancon officiated the 6:30 p.m. evening ceremony.
T.J. and Nona Prejean of Cow Island celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary. The two were married on December 28, 1947. The couple has three children, the late Glenwood Prejean, Danny Prejean and Becky Prejean; 16 grandchildren; one step-grandchild; 13 great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchilren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Donna Gauthier and Jake Broussard
Miss Donna Gauthier and Mr. Jake Broussard, both of Abbeville, are announcing their engagement and forthcoming plans of marriage.
The wedding will take place at 6 p.m. on March 3, 2018, at the Erath Community Building in Erath.
The future bride is the daughter of Karen Chapman of Marksville, LA and the late Glenn Gauthier of Hessmer, LA. Her grandparents are Geradline Guillot and the late Idal Guillot of Marksville.
She is a 1997 graduate of Marksville High School and is the general manager at B & G Foods.

Judge Laurie Hulin officiated the 7 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Rosa of Erath, LA. Her grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Allen Landry of Erath and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Rosa of Maurice.
Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Kim Young of Maurice, LA. His grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Roy Young and the late Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Trahan.

Leah Marie Trahan and Troy Simar Jr. exchanged wedding vows on Saturday, November 18, 2017 during a sunset ceremony at Rip Van Winkle Gardens on Jefferson Island, New Iberia. Judge Durwood Conque officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Linda and Calvin (Woody) Woodruff Jr. of Abbeville and the late Rene Dale Trahan of Kaplan.
Her grandparents are the late Galvez and Wilmae Langlinais Dartez and Sava and Mathilde Adams Trahan, all of Kaplan.
Parents of the groom are Donna and Troy Simar Sr. of St. Martinville and the late Bonnie Olivier of Henderson.
