Sidney Wayne “T-Boy” Connor

October 9, 1939 ~ November 14, 2018

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 16, at 1:00 PM at St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Catholic Church honoring the life of Sidney “T-Boy” Connor who died on Wednesday November 14, at his residence with the family by his side. He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with celebrant Father Chester Arceneaux and concelebrant Father Floyd Calais.
Sidney was an Abbeville High graduate and was self–employed as a roofing contractor for over 35 years.
He also finished his career at the Clerk of Court Office in Vermilion Parish, where he really enjoyed the camaraderie of his co-workers and the many people he came in contact with while working in the abstracting department. Sidney loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and gardening and in his later years he was very fond of bird watching. He loved reminiscing about his high school baseball career, especially a game in his senior year going 4 for 4, (all bunts).
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Judy Chauvin Connor; his children, Anthony Jude Connor, Jason and his wife Tammy Connor, Sydney and her husband Kevin Abshire, and Charlene and her husband Rob Roy; grandchildren, Jeremy Gary, Angela Connor, Kelli North, Gabriel and Courtney Connor, Brennan and Claire Roy, and Blake Hargrave; great grandchildren, Kayla and Kaden Gary, Noah and Kate North, and Mallory and Kalyn Hargrave.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lillian Primeaux Connor and Sidney J. Connor; his sister, Joyce Meaux; and grandson, Joshua Connor.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Linda Breaux and Jackie Theall for the compassionate care they provided! They would also like to thank Vermilion Health Care Center, Heart of Hospice and Dr. James C. Dobbs for their outstanding care!
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles St., on Thursday, November 15, 2018 from 1:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM; Friday, November 16, 2018 from 9:00 AM until 12:45 PM when the procession will depart for the church.

Ronald James Darby

DELCAMBRE - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Mr. Ronald James “Chief” Darby 51 at 11:00 A.M. Friday, November 16, 2018 at Saint Martin De Porres Catholic Church with Fr. Buddy Breaux, officiating.
He will await the resurrection at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church Cemetery in Delcambre, LA.
A gathering of family and friends will begin at 7:30 A.M. Friday at the church until time of service with a rosary to be recited at 10:00 A.M.
A native and resident of Delcambre, LA. He passed Monday, November 12, 2018 at his residence following a brief illness.
He was a member of Saint Martin De Porres Catholic Church. In addition, he was a 1986 graduate of Delcambre High School.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his parents; Mr. Wilton Darby, Sr. and Mrs. Marjorie Shello Darby of Delcambre, LA; one son, John Manuel Comeaux of Abbeville, LA; two brothers; Wilton Darby, Jr. (Patricia) of Delcambre, LA and Derick Darby (Cali) of Lafayette, LA; three sisters; Ada D. George (Richard) of New Iberia, LA, Monica D. Jolivette (James) of Delcambre, LA, and Melinda D. Broussard (Joseph) of Houston, TX; three grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by one son, Devin Dominique Broussard; one brother, Anthony Darby; maternal grandparents, Mr. Arthur Shello and Mrs. Edna Shello and paternal grandparents, Charles Darby and Rose Mae Broussard.
Active Pallbearers will be Derik Darby, John Manuel Comeaux, Wilton Darby, Jr. Jayland Cowan, Tony Bouyance and Lindey Derouen
Honorary Pallbearers will be Dylan George, Nikko Campbell, Ernest Darby, Richard George, Joseph Broussard, James Brown, Charles Darby, and Danny Shello.

Doris Alleman

February 8, 1922 ~ November 8, 2018

ABBEVILLE — A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, November 12, 2018 at St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Catholic Church honoring the life of Doris Alleman, 96, who died Thursday, November 8, 2018.
She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Fr. Michael Richard officiating the services.
Doris was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who always provided a soft place to land for all those she knew and loved. She was a member of the St. Theresa alter society for most of her adult life. She loved to travel and spend time with her loved ones. She walked through life with a strong faith in God’s will and resolve to continue onward with a smile and caring heart.
Doris is survived by her son, Clifton Alleman, Jr. and his wife Judy; daughter, Sandra Mouton and her husband Keith; grandchildren, Dana Gomez and her husband Ricky, Aliecia Alleman Elias, Nicole Renee Alleman and Juilete Barbin, Jenee Goodman and her husband Alan, Jarod Mouton and his wife Amy and Brett Mouton and his wife Saundra; great grandchildren, Benjamin Gomez, John Michael Elias, Ethan Barbin, Hudson Mouton, Adelei Mouton, Brooks Mouton and Mia Mouton; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Alleman, Sr.; parents, Elus Duhon and the former Louiseabelle Hernandez; daughter, Peggy Alleman; brothers, Emery Duhon, Mabry Duhon, Harry Duhon and Nolan Duhon; and sisters, Nervy Abshire, Gertie Duhon, Bertie McDonald, Annabell Gonzales and Nola Ransonet.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles St., on Monday, November 12, 2018 from 9:00 AM until time of services. A rosary will be prayed at 12:00 PM.
The family would like to thank Lamm Family Care Hospice and the wonderful caregivers who were her loving constant companions during her final days.

Huey Paul Thomas

DELCAMBRE – A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Mr. Huey Paul Thomas, age 80, at 11:30 am Saturday, November 10, 2018 at our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Fr. Buddy Breaux officiating. Simonne Thomas and Kailey Thomas will be readers for the Mass. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Lake Mausoleum.
Visitation will be held from 10:30 am until time of service at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with a Rosary at 11:00 am.
A native and resident of Erath, Mr. Thomas passed away at 11:15 pm on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Pelican Pointe Nursing Home.
Mr. Thomas served his country in the US Army National Guard for 8 years and was employed in the oilfield as a mechanic for 26 years. He was a member of the Aurora Lodge, #193 F&AM Masonic Lodge and also the Coastal Shrine Club.
Mr. Thomas, known affectionately as “Paw” to all, was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who enjoyed spending time with and teaching his family. His love for music and dancing was evident and made it easy to find him, whether he was working in his shop or tending to his yard and garden, the sounds of zydeco were ever present.
He will be missed dearly and his legacy will live on for generations to come.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Myrtis Lopez Thomas; one son, Toby Thomas and wife Simonne; two daughters, Dina T. Dore and Andrea’ T. Broussard and husband Chris all of Erath; five grandchildren, Kimberly Quibodeaux and husband Zachery; Tucker Landry and wife Danielle; Tailor Broussard; Garrett Thomas and wife Kailey and Rhen Broussard; five great grandchildren, AnnKatherine Reaux; Peyton Reaux; Caroline Thomas; Brooks Thomas and Rikken Landry and one sister, Venola Bernard of Abbeville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dozier and Mabel Suire Thomas; in laws, Maxie and Nora Romero Lopez; brother in law, Emery Bernard and son in law, Michael Dore.
Pallbearers will be Toby Thomas, Garrett Thomas, Peyton Reaux, Tucker Landry, Chris Broussard and Zachery Quibodeaux. Keith Bernard, Ryan Bernard and Christian Mandella will serve as honorary pallbearers.
